Birth Through Eight Plan Leadership Workgroup (LWG)

The LWG is a temporary committee that is overseeing the work of a plan due June 09 that focuses on early care in education, social, emotional, behavioral and physical health and family supports.  This committee has identified five strategic areas to ensure “All children birth through age eight are healthy and ready to be successful learners”.  These strategic areas include:  Maternal Health, Mother’s Education, Child Development, Preschool/School Readiness and Acquisition of Literacy Skills.   This planning process was funded by The Early Childhood Education Cabinet and the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund.
